The difference between phone interviewed and phone verified leads.
I don't know too many people that actually enjoy cold calling a stranger. Telephone-interviewed leads are where the prospect is contacted by a call center, or telemarketing center, and has been interviewed or "warmed up" for you.
The process works similar to this. The prospect fills out a survey or an online form at a business opportunity website and their information is sent over to a call center. This is where an interviewer interviews the new prospect according to a basic script, confirms the information they filled out on the survey or online form, and asks them 4 - 6 standard survey questions. By speaking to the prospect, the interviewer can get a general idea of the seriousness of the prospect and throw away the non-serious ones. This helps to filter out many of the ones that would just be a waste of time. At the end of the call, the interviewer will let the prospect know that someone will be contacting them shortly about a business opportunity.
This differs from phone verified leads in the following ways:
- through a computerized auto-dialer that places a call to the prospects phone number and goes through a computerized survey
- a large database is used to phone-match the prospect and confirm the information.
Now, is there anything wrong with a verified lead?
Phone verified leads are a strong lead, certainly outdoing the double opt in or random surveyed lead. It is one that I use consistently in my business building to get the best ROI on my leads purchase. Live interviews are not really needed. The extra verification effort helps save time and money by not buying some of the less desirable leads.
Phone verified leads could be very good. It is just one more layer that is added to a lead to try and add quality to the lead. You just need to make sure you know what you're paying for. Interviewed leads should be interviewed. Verified leads should be verified.
Remember that phone interviewed leads do take time to get rolling in as they do need to go through a call center and screened properly which does take time. Plus they are a little more expensive than the average lead and can cost as much as $5 a lead. My advice is to try a few different types of leads and see which one works the best for you and your style. Then stick with them and consistently grow your business. Best of luck!
